Yesterday in Ukraine, the country’s most prominent opposition leader – and one of the heroes of the Orange Revolution – Yulia Tymoshenko – was sentenced to seven years in jail for harming Ukraine’s interest in gas negotiations with Russia during her time as Prime Minister of Ukraine.
